About
Filip Stoica is a Bucharest-based choreographer, performer and lighting designer. His duet Vulnus won Best Choreography at UNDERCLOUD 2025, and he has created movement for the National Theatre Bucharest, MINA – Museum of Immersive New Art and stadium ceremonies in Riyadh.
Trained in both choreography and sound & light design at UNATC, he builds hybrid stage languages in which light and sound act as partners of the body rather than decoration. His work centres on immersion and audience agency — from the 360° environment In Between at MINA to the dance-theatre duet Scuze Noi (also known as Altă oră de dans) and the surreal Camera din Cameră.
He founded the DeLaZero Association and the Scuze Noi Company, teaches his method From Street to Studio across Romania, and works in Romanian and English.

As a performer
He began performing under the direction of Amalia Stinopoulou in Aseriati Liberi (CNDB), followed by Pe Bune with PETEC. He then joined several independent and institutional creations, including Basma Curată by Arcadie Rusu (Linotip) and Reveria at the Metropolitan Circus of Bucharest. His portfolio includes Alice in Wonderland, Start Swimming (TNB), Stars High in Amnesia Sky, and multidisciplinary projects like Faun, Beuys, Artmania In Context, and Eurovision Romania. He is a core member of the DeLaZero Association and a frequent collaborator of Unfold Motion (Timișoara), developing long-term projects focused on improvisation, site-specific dance, and public-space performance. Recent works include Scuze Noi, Altă oră de dans, Vulnus, Dans Nomad, CORPZero, LUX, and Marele Gatsby (2025).
