Filip Stoica is a Bucharest-based choreographer, movement director, performer and lighting designer. His duet Vulnus won Best Choreography at UNDERCLOUD 2025. He creates immersive work where the body, light and sound meet — for theatres, museums, festivals, brands and film.
Filip Stoica is a Bucharest-based choreographer, movement director, performer and lighting designer. Trained in choreography and in sound & light design at UNATC, and now a PhD candidate at ULBS Sibiu, he has created movement for the National Theatre Bucharest, Teatrul Masca, the National Theatre Târgu Mureș (Nora, selected for the National Theatre Festival 2026) and the Radu Stanca National Theatre Sibiu, the immersive In Between at MINA (National Theatre Festival 2024) and multimedia ceremonies in Riyadh with Mindscape. His duet Vulnus won Best Choreography at UNDERCLOUD 2025. He founded the Scuze Noi Company and the DeLaZero Association, and teaches his method, From Street to Studio.
Filip Stoica is a Bucharest-based choreographer, movement director, performer and lighting designer. Trained in choreography and in sound & light design at UNATC, and now a PhD candidate in Theatre & Performing Arts at ULBS Sibiu, he builds hybrid stage languages in which light and sound act as partners of the body.
His roots are in breaking and contact improvisation. He has performed at CNDB, the National Theatre Bucharest and the Metropolitan Circus of Bucharest, and has created movement for the National Theatre Bucharest, Teatrul Masca, the National Theatre Târgu Mureș, the immersive In Between at MINA (National Theatre Festival 2024) and multimedia ceremonies in Riyadh with Mindscape.
With Răzvan Rotaru he created Scuze Noi / Altă oră de dans (Bucharest Fringe; finalist on Antena 1's iUmor). With Beatrice Tudor he created Vulnus, which toured Romania and Malta and won Best Choreography at UNDERCLOUD 2025. He performed in and choreographed the dance film Sunless, winner of Overall Best Film at the Ziel Dance Film Fest NY. His lighting designs include Camera din Cameră, Litoral, Red Speedo and ÎnTrecere.
He founded the Scuze Noi Company and the DeLaZero Association, teaches his method From Street to Studio, and works in Romanian and English.
