Jiezou

Synopsis

Jiezou (节奏, meaning 'rhythm' in Chinese) is a rhythm-based dance performance where the body becomes a percussive instrument. Presented at LINOTIP Independent Dance Center, the work explores how rhythmic patterns shape movement vocabulary and spatial organization. The choreography builds from simple pulses to complex polyrhythmic structures, creating a sonic-visual experience that bridges Eastern and Western movement philosophies.
