In Between — Lighting
Synopsis
Lighting design for a 360-degree immersive environment where light becomes a spatial and dramaturgical partner to bodies and generative media. The challenge was to illuminate performers within a projection-mapped dome while preserving the integrity of AV NOIR's digital environment. Light operates as a selective sculptor: revealing dancers without flattening the visual depth of the surrounding projections, guiding audience attention in a space with no fixed focal point. The design balances visibility and atmosphere, treating light as a volumetric presence that breathes with the choreography rather than merely illuminating it.
