Synopsis

TOTO! tells the moving story of the bond between Effy, a 12-year-old girl, and her dog, Toto. Written by Tim Crouch, the play explores courage, friendship, the need to listen, and the strength of connections that keep us afloat when the world seems to collapse. With her mother hospitalized, Effy goes to live with her uncle and aunt in a building where pets are forbidden. Toto must be hidden, and the girl invents ingenious solutions with the help of her new friend, Noah. The performance takes an immersive form: the audience wears headphones through which sounds become an integral part of the narrative, creating a unique audio-visual experience.
